Nedbank is a major bank in South Africa. It began a long time ago, in 1888, in Holland. The idea was to help people do business between the Netherlands and South Africa. Later, in 1890, they opened a place in South Africa, in Durban.

Over time, the bank changed its name a couple of times. First, it was called “Nedcor Bank”, and then it became”Nedcor Group”. Finally, in 2003, it merged with Old Mutual, another South African finance company, and became known as Nedbank.

Nedbank is not just a bank, it cares about important things like helping the community and taking care of the environment. They also like to use technology to make it easier for people to do things with their money, such as using the internet to check their balance or pay bills.
